Hoadley's Hallmark has an extensive inventory of Jim Shore collectable gifts on hand and displayed at our Sandwich, Illinois card and gift store, however due to the fact that the Jim Shore collectables are so numerous, it is impossible for us to carry the full line of Jim Shore.

As is the case with all of the lines of collectables  that we sell, at Hoadley's, we would be glad to order any Jim Shore item that is currently available if we do not have it in stock and available at our store.

When immigrants first arrived in this country they brought with them a rich and varied history of Old World decorative techniques, creating beautiful and functional items for their new home. American folk art has its roots in this history and combination of forms. From German quilts to Scandinavian decorative paintings to English appliqué, the New World became a new stage for centuries of artistic tradition. And as these traditions developed, the energy, the opportunity and the character of this new land put its own stamp these European traditions. The unmistakable “Heartcrafted” style of Jim Shore draws its inspiration from these traditions, creating authentic new interpretations of our shared cultural heritage.

Jim Shore 's recollection of nostalgic childhood memories and his deep appreciation of handcrafted quilt patterns and textures inspire his works-of-art. He takes his inspiration from themes and motifs of American and European folk art.
